I am a product of my time

A mind of strength and freedom of speech
words of meaning is what I teach
lonely nights and seeking days
convincing myself it's a timeless phase
I am product of my time
leaving my fears far behind
living for love, working for need
lacking in both, feeling unfreed
memories of love and past pain
while should've, could've
still remains
speaking from my heart
not my mind
some say I destined
to fall behind
I am a product of my time.
